  • Heat-proof bowl for melting the chocolate
  • Stove top pot
  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Heat proof spatula
  • Sifter for tea powder
  • Parchment paper
  • Baking sheet

  • Wash the fresh strawberries and pat dry. Ensure that the strawberries are well dried to allow the chocolate to coat it evenly.
  • Roughly chop up the white chocolate and place it in the the heat-proof bowl.
  • In the stove top pot, fill it halfway with water and bring it to a boil. Carefully place the heat proof bowl on top of the stove top pot(double boiler method).
  • Lower the temperature of the stove to low and stir the chocolate until it is melted. Remove the melted chocolate from the stove and allow it to cool for 5 minutes.
  • Sift the matcha powder (or tea powder of your choice) into the chocolate and fold the mixture until the chocolate is one colour.
  • Grab the strawberry by the stem and angle the chocolate bowl on a 45 degree angle and coat the whole strawberry. Immediately place the chocola-tea berries on the lined baking sheet.
  • Once all the strawberries have been coated in a tea-licious layer, pop them in the fridge to cool for 30 minutes and enjoy!

To make the coating process easier, you may transfer the infused chocolate into a shallow cup and dip the strawberries.
