Hojicha Powder | Seidou
Out of stock
Hojicha is a pan-fried Japanese green tea that is pleasantly roasty, nutty and naturally decaffeinated. This powder can easily be dissolved in water for making a rich Hojicha Latte. This particular variety of Hojicha Powder has a medium-high roast level and a natural toasted nut and toffee flavour profile. Enjoy it with a bit of brown sugar and creamy barista oat milk!
BACKGROUND | This stone-milled Hojicha Powder (Seidou) is milled from Hojicha using 100% first flush sencha in tea plantations located 300m high from the ground – fogs and lower temperature in higher ground provide good conditions for excellent tea leaves. “Seidou” is the Japanese word for bronze and copper. We discovered this variety by accident as our Japanese supplier sent us the wrong batch of tea when we ordered “Hojicha Powder | Bronze“.
